Kermit: yeah…
Charlie: …November 29th
Kermit: yup…
Charlie: We’re gonna have the premiere of our new Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie at NBC starting at 8 o’clock which is going to be fantastic.
Kermit: It’s good. I just saw it a couple of nights ago and I give it my uh, total seal of approval…
Charlie: Well that’s good to know…
Kermit: I never want to judge my work until I’ve seen it you know, and it was terrific, if I do say so myself.
Charlie: Well, you speak the truth. Now I want to say Kermit, I have been very fortunate to work with you and to work for you the last 15 years…
Kermit: yep?
Charlie: …and I can honestly say everything I know about business I learned from a frog.
Kermit: Really?
Charlie: That’s absolutely right.
Kermit: Wow!
Charlie: Because: you’re not just a good entertainer, but you’re a fantastic business man as well.
Kermit: Well!
Charlie: You think about it there are very few people who are as good as you at managing to be calm…
Kermit: yep…
Charlie: …and organized in the middle of absolute and total, and I mean TOTAL chaos.
Kermit: That’s true I’ve had a lot experience with that.
Charlie: That’s true, but you’ve also had a lot of experience managing divas…
Kermit: That’s true…
Charlie: …which is also a skill of yours, if you know what I mean.
Kermit: That’s true! Lost of those… one in particular.
Charlie: Yes… but most of all Kermit, you were the best of anybody in the world at keeping and spreading a positive attitude about everything you do in life. We want to thank you for that.
Kermit: Aw, thank you…Thank you.
(applause)
Charlie: A great man named Jim Henson once said, "My hope still is to leave the world a little better place for my having been here." and Jim certainly made the world a better place. Today we’re here to tell you Kermit, that you’ve made our world a better place and for that we thank you. Congratulations.
Kermit: Aw, thank you Charlie, thanks very much.
(applause)

Kermit: That’s wonderful! Congratulations, Tippi! That’s wonderful
Johnny: And here’s a great, great friend of yours an old acting buddy and…
